five days and counting

Although I was finally able to get an electrician to Chez Melina today, the battle is not over. Next, I have to entertain a city inspector, then finally beg the power company to come and turn me on, pardon the pun.
I'm really beginning to understand what it's like to live in your car, or to take turns sharing a bedsitter. It's making me really fuzzy-brained. I suppose I shouldn't whine too much but it's just getting so bloody old.
The only positive aspect to all this semi-homelessness is that I've caught up on my reading, especially all the back issues of The Economist that were lying around the house.
