Brain Age

I got this neat little computer program, along with a Nintendo DC, for Christmas.

For those unfamiliar with it, Brain Age was designed by a Japanese neurologist. The premise is that if you do certain mathematical and verbal exercises, your prefrontal cortex will perform better - as if you were younger.

I'm not sure how well it's working, but I have noticed that I can perk myself up with it mid-afternoon by doing some of the mathematical programs. I am not that terrific at math, although I have no phobias. It's stuff like calculus and trig that look like foreign language to me. My older brother took advanced math classes in high school and I used to peek into the textbooks; they made zero sense to me. It was like trying to read hieroglyphics.

Cold and rainy here in Texas. Yuk.
