Today's rash is now much worse. It's itchy and weird as it only affects part of one arm, the left side of my neck, and a few small places on my back.
I can't think of anything that would have caused it. I didn't wash my clothes in a new brand of detergent, or switch shampoos or soaps or anything like that. And for the past weeks, I haven't eaten anything I haven't been eating for the past 20 years or so.
Have decided to go to a doctor tomorrow if possible. I guess I better nut up and find out what's going on.
... please don't send me stuff like this any more.
Although I've never voted straight ticket in my life, and usually avoid getting tangled up in politically-based arguments, the Ken doll who is governing Texas continues to irritate me.
The latest stupidity from Rick Perry was forwarded to me by a fellow writer.
It starts out like this:
Asked by a Dallas television reporter whether he agreed with Texas leaders that the federal government should take some governing cues from the Lone Star State, President Barack Obama said he saw "a little inconsistency" in that position.
"Keep in mind, Gov. (Rick) Perry helped balance his budget with about $6 billion worth of federal help, which he happily took, and then started blaming the members of Congress who had offered that help," Obama said during an April 18 interview with WFAA reporter Brad Watson at the White House.
So far, this statement is checking out as I dig around for further proof of the $6 billion claim. It looks like Obama was being unnecessarily polite when he used the phrase "a little inconsistency".
(I have decided to do anything except think about doctors/medical testing/etc for at least a week, and as it's slow at work today, I'm doing some research. Chances are, I'll simply end up trading irritation for anxiety. Meh.)
After a week of worrying about various medical stuff, it was announced that my biopsy results were, of all things, inconclusive. My invaded lymph node decided to play hard to get, I suppose, although the reason given was that the biopsy was inconclusive because of scar tissue within the node. And this could have been caused by any illness I have had over the course of the last 40-odd years.
So it's back to the doctor later this week for more of the same. Or, to be more accurate, back to another doctor. My own doctor has offered to refer me to an oncologist.
It might be beneficial to readers (reader?) to explain what was the original cause of all doctoral concerns. My original doc (an ob/gyn) didn't suspect breast cancer; she suspected Hodgkin's lymphoma. And the reason she suspected this is that, when initially talking to her, I had mentioned feeling very tired the last couple of weeks. Seems that fatigue is a symptom of Hodgkin's. Then she did the lymph node grope and found a couple she didn't like. I had never noticed them myself.
I can't decide whether to return to her (who I like, by the way) or go to an unknown oncologist. I can't go to the one oncologist I know personally, as he's a bone marrow specialist and would find me boring. Maybe I should just forget about it for a couple of weeks.
